“Have you had enough of sitting at home? Do you enjoy a chat? Does listening to live music appeal to you? And how about enjoying a piece of cake with your afternoon cuppa?” reads the opening lines of an advertisement circulating for our new group, ‘Tuesday Friends’ recently approved by our Church Council as part of our Mission for serving the community. It is to be launched on Tuesday 8 February, 2.00pm and a warm invitation is given to you to come along and hopefully enjoy the afternoon. Roy Rawlinson and his friend, Pete, will provide the music for this opening week and an appeal is also given to any willing volunteers to sign up on a rota for helping in the kitchen and/or with the chatting and/or providing cake!
