For the afternoon Circuit Service at Trinity on 3rd December, the first Sunday in Advent, Trinity Singers & Friends celebrated Advent by performing Advent Hope at Trinity.
Members of the congregation and friends had prepared a presentation in words, songs and hymns from the Roger Jones Organisation. They are not a trained choir but once nerves subsided and the music flowed, it proved to be a valuable experience for both singers and congregation.
They were guided by Roger Preston’s patient direction and Vicki Gillman’s helpful piano accompaniment to make Advent Hope a significant part of this service, in preparation for Christmas.
Then, following a request from Gawsworth Methodist Church, Advent Hope was ‘taken on tour’ and presented as part of their service the following Sunday.
