Hymns and Reflections (Continued)

Hymns and Reflections started on the first weekend of the first lockdown to enable those who were missing church to enjoy an hour of listening to and singing hymns.

Over the months it has evolved and some weeks have been themed: Great hymn writers, God’s creation, The names of Jesus, Top 20 hymns, to name but a few.  Programmes commemorating Special Sundays have also been broadcast, including Mothering Sunday, Easter, VE Day, Harvest, Remembrance Sunday, Advent and Christmas.

A two-hour programme of readings and carols was broadcast on Christmas Eve, with contributions from the local community.  Ministers, preachers and local Anglican Vicars have all contributed to reflections, readings and prayers.

Hymns and Reflections continues to be broadcast at 10am and 6pm every Sunday. Tune in to sing along, reflect and pray. Wherever you are in the world you can tune in via the Internet or ask Alexa to enable Dane Sound Community Radio.

If anyone would like to contribute to a future programme please get in touch.  Requests for hymns or programme themes can be sent to
contact dane sound radio or Jill Booth
