LET THERE BE LIGHT

Cloud let there be light chapelCloud has been busy over the past 12 months – when Covid restrictions have allowed – letting in the light and shining the light. Lots of work has been completed around the building to let in light as we were getting grown in by trees. A new neighbour was very happy for us to complete the work and he has planted trees high up in his own wood to compensate the ones removed. We can now see the building, have access to the back of the chapel and have light flooding in by the pulpit.

Junior worship which now meets once a fortnight has also been shinning the light.
The most recent themes have been:
• Jesus saying, “I am the good shepherd”, materials include word searches, colouring page and craft activity. On one occasion clothes peg woolly sheep were made.
• Also, Jesus saying, “I am the true vine.” Our young people cut out and made their own ‘true vine’ as one of the activities.

Cloud let there be light windowWe are currently using the shared circuit resources provided by Tony Bartley, also Kid’s Corner which Julia Tomes adds to the circuit you tube each week.

During lockdown we kept in touch through our what’s app group and we’ve enjoyed zoom all age worship services too, incorporating craft activity and even a science experiment to do at home.
We’re missing our singing activities and are really looking forward to the day when we can sing together again.

On the alternate Sunday from junior worship adult worship has been taking place. We have enjoyed sharing worship with some friends from Key Green and Rudyard chapels and a big thank you to Ashleigh Wood for helping with the music - played by the computer - by joining in with his guitar.

It's felt good to be shining the light again across Cloud Side, by having the Chapel active again and shinning the light for Jesus.
