Trinity Christian Aid walk 2021: on The CloudWe can’t compete with Revd Ian Enticott (aged 61) Rector of the Congleton Parish and his Treasurer Mike Laurence (aged 78) who ran round the Congleton Parish boundary on Ascension Day, covering 17.33 miles, and raising £3,138 for Christian Aid.

However, Cath Lilley and Dennis Wood, supported by Enid & Neil Munro, did a 10 mile sponsored walk for Christian Aid from Buglawton to Timbersbrook, over The Cloud, to Bosley and back. In total we raised £410 including Gift Aid for the charity.

Despite the weather, mist on The Cloud, and umbrellas up when we ate our lunch at Bosley Chapel, it was a highly enjoyable walk.

Trinity Christian Aid walk 2021: at Bosley ChapelThe total raised in Congleton came to more than £7,100 and is only a few pounds short of the total last time we were able to collect door-to-door.

Envelopes at Trinity raised a total of £822 including Gift Aid, Wellspring raised £806, New Life £1,750 and St Mary’s RC £667.  This excludes money donated directly and money sent to the North Staffs Sponsored Walk organisers.

Many thanks to all.
