A Halloween alternative is being tried at Holmes Chapel.

We are inviting people by whatever means they can to write a message of hope, a prayer, remembrance of someone, etc on to coloured stars which we will display in the church windows from October 31^st – November 5^th.

This will be publicised through all local means of communication.

Stars will be placed on the chairs for the congregation to either take home and return or to write on there and then and there will be a basket to collect them. Other ways to send in messages would be by email, phone or written on paper and left in the letterbox. Those will be stuck on to the stars. All items will be quarantined for 48 hours before being dealt with and a small, Covid trained team will be responsible for the display.

We will display them on a tree lit up with fairy lights and also strung up in the church windows, with a rainbow on display in the church garden.
