A Halloween alternative is being tried in Holmes Chapel.

We are inviting people, by whatever means they can, to write a message of hope; a prayer; remembrance of someone etc on to coloured stars which we will display in the church windows from October 26th – November 5th.

This will be publicised locally through a variety of means of communication.

Stars will be placed on the chairs for the congregation to either take home and return, or to write on then and there. There will be a basket available to collect them. Other ways to send in messages would be by email, phone or written on paper and left in the letterbox. These will then be stuck on to the stars. All items will be quarantined before being dealt with and a small, Covid trained team will be responsible for the display.
