Event: National Prayer Weekend
Date: From Friday, 23 September 2016
To Sunday, 25 September 2016
Location: A Church Near you
Activity:

A weekend to initiate a wave of prayer over our nation, one life, one street, one community at a time. We believe that local people praying for their community can transform the nation.

Central to National Prayer Weekend 2016 is the heart to see people in our local communities know and encounter God as their Father through the power of prayer.

Last year, more than 1,300 individuals, groups and churches joined in prayer to cover the nation.

We know that God can do immeasurably more than we can even imagine. So it is with great expectation that we invite you to join in during 23–25 September 2016 as we pray for our local churches and communities.

Instead of continuous prayer as in previous years, Congleton churches are being encouraged to host a time of prayer during the weekend at a time / way / style that suits their congregation. This could be ‘praise and prayer’, ‘prayer stations’, ‘a labyrinth’, ‘church open for prayer’ etc. The weekend will conclude with a United Service for all churches, 6:30 pm at Wellspring on Sunday 25th September.

Churches Together plan to distribute prayer handouts in the town centre on Saturdays 10th and 17th September, with an opportunity for people to submit prayer requests. Youth groups meeting on the Friday are encouraged to include a prayer activity.
